Hi, pleased to "E" meet you!

I'm Gareth, a produced UK Scriptwriter.

Born in Scotland, I was adopted and raised in Portsmouth, Hampshire. I have travelled extensively and lived in Spain for a while, before returning to the warmer climate of sunny Pompey!

Creatively I been an actor, an extra, a stand up comic and I was the singer-songwriter for the Portsmouth band Tarkus. I also wrote lyrics for other bands, and sold short stories and poetry before I settled into an exciting mainstream career in which I worked as a Maritime Weapons Technician, a Telecommunications Engineer, a Technical Trainer and a Diversity Trainer for some of the UK's top companies including BT, Marconi Defence, and Her Majesty's M.O.D. 

However, I continued to jot down random story ideas, and in 2007, one of these won a short story contest in Spain. Since then, I have developed a diverse portfolio of completed scripts across all the genres, including two co-written spec TV sketch shows with an ex “Smack the Pony” writer. 

I have had three short films produced and had another project in the final short list for Screen South’s Digital Shorts 2009 initiative.

I've had some comedy sketches broadcast on BBC Radio and am one of the writers on an Independent Radio thrice weekly soap. 

I am currently in discussions with a Spanish web company to create and write low budget web serials.
